Data Deletion
You can delete local data and delete your Pelza cloud account directly inside the app.
Delete local data
In the app, open Profile > Privacy & security > Delete local data. This clears local ledger records, cached app data, device token, auth session, and first-launch state from the current device only. Cloud account data is not deleted by this local-only action.
Delete your Pelza account
In the app, open Profile > Account settings > Delete account. This permanently deletes Pelza cloud account data managed by Pelza for the signed-in account.
What account deletion removes
- Pelza user account and account preferences.
- Authentication sessions and Apple/email identity mappings.
- Cloud transactions, cloud ledger records, and transaction sources.
- AI parsing jobs, parsed results, progress events, and usage records tied to the account.
- Subscription snapshots and Apple transaction rows stored by Pelza. Apple notification audit rows are anonymized by clearing the Pelza user reference.
- Local data on the current phone is also cleared after successful account deletion.
What account deletion does not remove
Apple subscriptions are not canceled by deleting your Pelza account. Apple subscriptions, cancellation, renewal, and refund records are managed by Apple. Cancel from Apple subscriptions in iOS Settings or the App Store account page before deleting the account if needed.
How long deletion takes
In-app account deletion removes active cloud database records when the deletion request completes. Backup, security, or operational logs, if present, may take up to 30 days to rotate out unless we must retain limited records for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute reasons.
